Content Management Systems

A content management system (CMS) is a software system that provides website authoring, collaboration, and administration tools designed to allow users with little knowledge of web programming languages or markup languages to create and manage website content with relative ease. A robust CMS provides the foundation for collaboration, offering users the ability to manage documents and output for multiple author editing and participation.

Administration is done through a browser-based interface, such as FireFox and Internet Explorer.

A CMS allows non-technical users to make changes to a website with little training.

While Laurus can support and implement any content management system written in PHP (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Interspire, etc), we recommend our clients make use of PortalManager – a bespoke CMS that is easily customizable and simple to use, yet feature rich and powerful.
